Since we will likely be faced with a position by the state of encouraging “innovation” in teacher qualifications, I think we should have our ducks in a row regarding the impact on student learning of having highly qualified teachers rather than enthusiastic volunteers.  I feel sure that we have data to show the value of the intern/mentor programs and pedagogy curricula,...

I have looked and looked on this site for the survey that Dan has mentioned and I can't find it.  When I click on the survey button, it states that there are no surveys at this time.  When I look on the home page for the survey, I am not seeing it.  I am sure it is me.  Could someone please enlighten me?  THANKS!

This survey is not on the ISTA website.  According to Mark, this survey went out in an e-newletter.  The link is now on the Sharepoint site.

A member emailed me concerned that if the DOE changes its manner of licensing a retired teacher who chooses to work may not be able to successfully renew as they have in the past, i.e., 6 credit hours every five years.

 

Could this be an unintended consequence if renewal changes to a great extent?

This is intriguing.  I say YES let's keep watching this one.
